Love : The essence of Life
LOVE is the Primal cause
and motive of the entire Cosmic Creation. Initially the
cosmos was in a state of innovation and there was no
creation or manifestation of names and forms in it. It
was the state of non-differentiation or equiliibrium
----the seed state of the universe --the sleep of the
Cosmic-Soul.In that state, the cosmos was formless and pevaded by a single
formless-nameless Reality-the Brahman or the cosmic
Consciousness. Then , the Brahman became self conscious.
He indulged in self-love and beacme infatuated with
himself. At this stage, the idea 'that I am one, let me
be many' crossed his mind. The idea materialised
instantaneously and the univerese appeared out of
seemingly-nothing. Then to keep the process of creation
going, the Brahman or the primeval consciouness created
the ' Duality' known variously as Ishvara and Maya,
Purush and Prakriti, dues and nature(Latin), Adam and
Eve, Ying and Yang (Chinese), and filled their hearts and
mins with the spirit and feeling of mutual love. This
primordial element of love became the divine-seed of the
creation henceforth. LOVE is the supreme emotion, passion, nature, feeling. tendency, motive and characteristic of all the living being. Love is, therefore, to be comrehended in its broadest meaning and wildest connotation. Where as love invloves the sublime spirit of self-sacrifice, it is equally marked by passionate utge to possess the objective of love. Love is undoubtedly a divine quality of human mind. But man has physical and psychological aspects besides the spiritual aspect and. therefore, it is quite natural for him to desire to possess not only the body but also the mind of his object of love exclusively. Love has a magnetic effect upon man's total existance-body, mind and soul taken together. Love is spiritual identification as well as mental obsession and physical union. Love is the holy altar at which all human relationships-spiritual.mental or physical are sanctified.
LOVE is the
supreme force and ultimate factor motivating the
universe.it hardly follows any set of rules, norms or
patterns. Love is both self-sacrifice and envy. Love is
the supreme sense of of belonging.Love is the amborsia
that nourishes and intergates human body, mind, intellect
and soul. Love begins with the natural attraction between
man and woman and it can be moulded into love for
kin, country, wealth, honour, fame ,learning or God. It is very hard to say about the origin of love about when love was born for the first time. Love is the precondition of the origin of life and living beings. All creation followed love. The character and nature of love has not changed with the passage of time. it has always been fascinating, beyond reason and sacred. With love is associated the basic integrity of man; colour, caste, country, age, richness and poverty, royality and commonalty-all the barriers do not come its way. That which ends distinction, and diffrentiation is known as love. A lowly gillie may fall in love with an empress and a millionaire may take this deomestic help as his best love. LOVE holds testimony to the tenderness of human heart whereas love also endows it with tensile strength of the granite.Often, love has had to confront tradition or civilisation or social norms. Love is man's natural and intrinsic trait while cinvilisation, tradition and custom are extrinsic and artificial barriers bulit around societies. Love breaks through these barriers, celebrates the union of hearts and lays bare the futility of rigid norms, customs and laws placing restrictions on a normal human urge like love. How hollow these restrictive rules prove to be when a Heer or Zenib is coerced to sleep with and produce children form a man she does not love the and the mere touch of the man she loves and sighs for is proclaimed a deadly sin. Love scoffs at the social norms and forms which sanctify martial bonds between unloving individuals. LOVE is an eternal human urge, passion and inpspiration. The quest for love begins with birth, be it mother and child love, love between brothers ans sisters, love in the arms of a beloved, or the love of ideals. LOVE DEALS WITH SACRIFICES LOVE knows limits. It cannot be circumscribed. The saint -poet Kabir Das says. " Love grows not in orchards, nor it sells in market palces. Be it king or a commoner, anyone can have it exchange for one's head. LOVE thrives on self-sacrifice. Love arises in human mind. A diehard dictator like Hitler who got millions of Jews butchered mercilessly could not escape the pangs of love. The path of Love is not easy to pursue. Kabir Das says again " The house of love is not the house of one's aunt that one can just walk into it. One who wants to enter the house of love has to be prepared for self-sacrifice. "Laila-Majnoon, Sheerin-Earhad, Sohini- Mahiwal and Heer -Ranjha sacrificed their lives at the altar of love, and that is why even today their love sagas touch our hearts and minds and they are still alive in all of our hearts. LOVE is not the synonym of infatuation but at the same time love sannot be separated from infatuation.Love is a strong utge whic seeks satisfaction in the possession of the body and the mind of tis object. SLove is a pure gift and at the same time love is give and take. One -sided love can be termed as self -sacrifice, but when the fire of love kindles the two hearts equally, then love grows, blooms and fructifies. In such a selfish world like this where hatred and viloence are rampant, love has become a human craving, a rare thing. Love melts the human heart like wax. That which inspires one to throw deadly acid uopn the face unrespodning object of love and mureder and destroy it is not love. But it is brute passion. love does not coerce the beloved to respond. Love does not depend upon physical closeness or distance. It is a clestial ecperience. True Love is eternal, yet even if it were monetqry, its character remains the same. When Shubash Chandra Bose develops the binda of love for his nurse during his sickness in Switzerland, to be soon separed from her by the call of his first love, the freedom of his nation, it still remains love and it fructifies into a daughter. A moment;s intense love overwhelmed the mind and heart of his beloved to the extent that she was able to live for the whole life under its warmth without even thinking of another man. LOVE is woderful. Love is great. Love can melt rocks, ans yet has been a common experience that a tradition-bound conservative scoiety and parents moved by their lowly assume a stiffness which is harder than rocks. They would never melt and they hardly ever bother if their stifness takes the life of a lover. It has been like this from the time immemorial and God knows if the human mind shall ever learn to regard and respect love as sacred.
